Maximilian Gatev
I’m Maxi, a visual designer and art director based between Zurich and Milan, finishing the Visual Design course at Istituto Marangoni. I work across brand identity, campaigns, and product.
What pulls me in is the idea behind a project, and getting it into a form that actually lands. AI is part of how I get there: not a shortcut, but a tool I direct and shape until the result matches what I pictured.
The mark
The logo is a magician’s hat. As a kid I couldn’t say mago, the Italian word for magician, so I’d tell everyone I was magical instead. That memory stuck with me, and the Magician card in tarot inspired me too: the figure who turns an idea into something real. It felt like the right mark for how I like to work.
